Elk Glade Outfitters

Come enjoy our historic ranch, our spectacular valley, our gentle livestock and abundant wildlife – all only an hour from Colorado Springs

There are many ways to enjoy this valley which for you might include cattle drives, horseback riding, jeep tours, fishing, weddings, corporate team-building events, and hunting. Elk Glade is pleased to offer 3,200 exclusively leased acres and about 20,000 acres of lands leased from the BLM and USFS. Consider Elk Glade for hiking, fly fishing, riding horses or simply enjoying the beautiful scenery of the East Beaver Valley with friends and family.

The Colorado Springs Gazette noted that the canyon system around our ranch — to which we have the only access by road — is “…the largest canyon system without roads from Wyoming to New Mexico.” The Sierra Club figures that the area of about 132,000 acres of BLM, USFS, state and private lands (of which we are among the largest owners), is the most pristine land along the Colorado Front Range.

Cattle Drives

We invite you to enjoy a memorable adventure, complete with herding cattle on horseback — all while taking in the crisp mountain air and views of pristine canyon land. Founded in 1888, the 3,200-acres of leased land that the Sierra Club notes as being the largest canyon system without roads from Wyoming to New Mexico (The Gazette, January 3, 2002). Ranch headquarters is a mining camp hotel that was built in 1900 and was later disassembled by ranch hands and moved from the mining ghost town to its present site. Today, guests can enjoy the adventure and excitement of this historical landmark.

We look forward to making your Elk Glade and East Beaver Valley experience all that it can be, and we hope to see you for many subsequent years. We’re exceptionally proud of the number of repeat guests we see year after year — many who return with friends, family and children. We work hard to create and preserve an environment that fosters lifelong friendships, family bonding and memories.
