In 1887, Henry C. Rathke was scouting for stray cattle on horseback and rode up and over the 3,000 feet of Colorado Front Range guarding the pristine East Beaver Valley and fell in love with it. In 1888 he in effect “put a ring on it” and homesteaded it. His family remains wedded to the valley. Thinking about getting wedded to someone you love? This historic, pristine and utterly unique ranch is the place. Only 17 miles from Colorado Springs, you, your spouse and your guests will enjoy a ceremony in the wild or in a tent or in the barn loft turned ballroom. We can serve up to 325 and we have a bridal cabin furnished with 1850’s French furniture in a private valley, the East Beaver is so close you can fish from the bedroom.
